The run has been posted to Speed Demos Archive! These practice videos are now completely obsoleted by the official speedrun record at SDA! See it now: http://speeddemosarchive.com/StarFox64.html - Final Time: 1:24:52 *I'm keeping these practice videos on the Archive for reference... no sense in just removing them... These are practice videos or related material for a Star Fox 64 Speedrun I accomplished (as of 9/27/06). The speedrun was a single segment run done in Expert Mode acquiring all 15... Not a bad platform/shooter for the Game Gear. I played on Jedi difficulty which means you cant take many hits. I collect all crew members which allows to select different characters and their weapons. However, I pretty much play as luke with his blaster throughout as it was easier for me to shoot random shots or land a specific amount of shots instead of jumping around dodging shots with the light saber. The controls can make for a difficult time in this game as you have to hold fire... Topics: Sega, game gear, game, console, Star Wars
CUS stands for Charged Unlocked Shot. This is the technique that is widely used to acquire high scores in Star Fox 64. This demonstration shows clips from Corneria, and I pause the game to add commentary where needed. I explain how the CUS hit+ points work and use the second half of the level to continue demonstrating the technique. Below I give a text based walk-through of charged shot points. When an enemy is hit by the "splash" of a charge shot, a hit+1 is awarded. If that enemy is... Adventure game for the Nes. Its not bad but it is slowed down by the usual nes dialogue heavy aspect that plagues a lot of nes games. I try to click through it quickly, but not too quickly that it cant be read. I'm no fan of the nes sound, but this game really does put in a poor effort sound wise. I only visit the planets where there is a mission to complete. There are others, but dont add anything to the game. "In order to dispel common misbeliefs regarding Klingons, Gowron (Robert O'Reilly) creates a holodeck "immersion studies" program to teach humans about his people's culture. The player assumes the role of Pok, a young Klingon about to undergo the Rite of Ascension. The celebration is interrupted, however, when Pok's father is killed during an assassination attempt on Gowron's life. Gowron and Pok then swear a blood oath to find the killers and bring them to honorable... Topics: Star Trek, Klingon, PC, Game, FMV, Complete, walkthrough, guide, longplay
More like the NES version of the game than the Game Gear version. I Have already recorded the Game Gear version and this one seemed a lot more difficult due to inertia. I tried to mix it a bit this time and play at least one level with the other characters. Topics: sega, game, console, star wars, lucasarts, longplay, complete
Japanese version of Rad Racer, played in 3d mode. Only the gameplay part is 3d though, title and ending are not. I didn't find the turbo boost till track 2 lol. Accelerate is 'A' and Turbo is Up Direction which is infinite. One annoyance is the Music. You can change between 3 music tracks at any time with the Down direction. However steering the car at breakneck speeds I often hit down while im steering causing the music to jump. The music doesn't really fit the game for me. If they were going... ZX Spectrum 48k There were quite alot of these tunnel run 3d wireframe games on the spectrum, but i think this on is one of the earliest ones and most fondly remembered. The game pretty much loops enlessly getting more difficult each time. In this longplay, I play on Hard mode and last as long as I can. Topics: 3D Star Strike, zx spectrum, game, computer, longplay
Fun arcade style shooter set in the wild west. I avoid shooting the health containers to bring up the spinning wheel bonus rounds. I do feel the game drags on abit and I guess thats why a save system was included so you didnt have to do it all in one run ;) Topics: Tin Star, super nintendo, game, console, shooter, fps, wild west, robots, complete, longplay
Awful Star Trek Game. Little in common with the other 2 anniversary games. The space combat sux and goes on for far to long. If you die, its back to the beginning. The ground part isn't so bad and where most of the actual gameplay is. Topics: star trek, 25th anniversary, game, gameboy, handheld, console, conplete, walkthrough, longplay
Sequel to the 25th Anniversary game. The limited collectors cd edition is being played, although it probably doesn't make a difference to the actual gameplay. This game has much more dialogue than the previous game. So much so that the game length is doubled even though it has a similar number of missions. The missions themselves are not really longer, but when listening to what everyone has to say, it makes it a much longer game. Pretty much everything has to be scanned as well if going for... Great Action adventure game by Interplay back in 1993. It plays out like a collection of episodes. This is the CD version with full speech. I really dislike the Action part of the game where you have to fight enemy ships. Sometimes it can be a real pain, especially at the end of the game. I have had to restart an Amiga longplay of it due to the final fight being to difficult. I'm hopeing starting from scratch and aiming for 100% will help it. Speaking of 100%, I have attained to get... Topics: Star Trek, 25th Anniversary, cd rom, game, pc, action, adventure, point and click, Interplay,...

Here is THQ's effort to get Star Wars Trilogy onto the poor ole GBA. As a playstation game this may have turned out to be a much more enjoyable, larger and faster game. Instead it was squeezed onto the gba in it's incredibly blocky low res pixel glory and the gba just doe not have the power to make the game a smooth and enjoyable experience. The deathstar approach seems to take forever as its hard to aim at the tie fighters and controls can seem over sensitive. Some of the ground levels... Game was Played on Soverign Difficulty (Easy) to speed up the narrative. This video is to show of the story and not skillful playing. The higher difficulties certainly require a different way of playing (evading/repair managment/and general combat stratagy) Ive tried to let the game play itself in that I just tell it what I want done. This will only work on easy mode as the AI isnt that great. Id say it makes the video longer then it needs to be, but a higher difficulty would just mean enemies... This a re-upload as the Original file had a desync issue. However I manged to make another balls up fixing that which added 5 mins to the video. 1:27:13 - 1:33:14 can be skipped as its abit of repeated video. I did wonder why it was 5 mins longer when checking chapter times, but didnt spot it when checking vid :/ This is a sequal and starts right where the voyager tv program left off. The game starts off promising, but just doesnt follow through and gets boring fighting the same enemy the whole...
